I have explored a few places here and there which have been fun! The first weekend here we decided to walk from where we live to the downtown area of Korinbo, it took us about 2 hours to get there but we were just leisurely walking, stopping to take pictures and then continue the process until we got to Korinbo.
Pictures of our route, along the river
Someone's nice front garden
There are spiders everywhere!!!! the weirdest thing is that spiders share the same web!
Hehe me eating a big rice cracker, it was purple colour and salty, that was all i could taste lol
In one of the souvenir shops, there was this cute dog!!! The owner was really nice and let me take a picture of it!
This was near the famous Kenrokuen, leading up to one of the entrances
In Kanazawa they have a Korinbo 109 which is related to the famous Shibuya 109 in Tokyo and the shops in there have really nice clothes shops but is really expensive. There is a shop in there which i used to go to a lot in Nagoya which had really nice clothes at a good price.
Me goofing around
Then after some exploring and shopping we found this little Izakaya which served nice Yakitori and beer! Look at the foam on that beer! Scandalous! (yes i know no one uses that word ever but i love it!)
The perfect combo!
Then we were kinda forced to go out on Monday, it was a national holiday but the power was turned off from 8am-6:30pm so we decided to explore! We explored the free parts of Kanazawa castle
There was an art and crafts fair near this area and everything was soo pretty! Then as we walked near the Kohrinbo area we saw this:
WAH!!! A cake festival!!!! There were so many bakeries with good looking cakes!!! We decided to come back later after lunch to get some cake.
Hahaha i had to get my picture taken of this mascot... it was cute looking!
My tasty lunch!
What i finally choose to eat! It was a chestnut cake of some sort!
But i managed to go yesterday (tuesday 18th october) to go to mountains to see the marple trees, which will be my next post!!!
The cakes look amazing, and I love the Cow mascot!! :)
